Who We Are

Newport Surfrider was founded in 2020 with the goal of establishing a truly exceptional Whale Watching experience in Orange County. Family owned and operated, we are passionate about making our clients happy, and we go above and beyond to ensure superb customer experiences.

 

Captain Dustin is a 15 year licensed captain (100 Ton Masters) with over 20 years professional experience in waters locally and internationally. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and is a marine naturalist, CPR and first aid certified.

Captain Brian is a seasoned guide and naturalist having crafted incredible experiences as a white-water raft guide, sea kayaking guide, PADI Dive Master, and in parasailing operations in Alaska, Washington, Hawaii, and California.

And of course, our boat, Surfrider, is a top of the line Nautica Widebody Rigid-Hulled-Inflatable with the latest tech and USCG safety equipment.  Surfrider is an awesome vessel for a fast and comfortable ride at sea or in the harbor.

At Newport Surfrider, we believe in giving back and support programs for the Wounded Warrior Project, Challenge for Charity, and the EGBAR Foundation (Everything's Gonna Be Alright!)
